~ shiny happy winners ~

Do you ever have those days where you wish you could make time stand still?

Today was one of those days, it's been unbearably hot here in Perth and I've been putting off tasks left right and centre.  I just want a catch up day!

Today I was blessed to have visitors, women from my tribe who came and spent the day with me, chatting while the children played, drinking tea and coffee and eating delicious food.  I put tasks off (again...) this time knowing that my energy levels were being replenished by sharing experiences with those around me. A happy day!

And now, a few moments of peace to sit and catch up. Our first blog competition closed yesterday, and I have just spent time putting all the entrants names into a spreadsheet and drawing the winners at Random.org

I entered blog entries first, then website entries chronologically.

The first draw was for the itti bitti limited edition wetbag, and the winning number was 24 - a website entry :D

Congratulations to Erina from New South Wales, I will contact you via the email address used at Karri Tree Lane and you'll be able to choose from any of our instock itti bitti wetbags :D

The next draw was for the limited edition Green Kids wetbag, Very Hungry Caterpillar print.

A blog winner, awesome! All sorts of fair lol.

Comment 15 belongs to Owlish - congratulations!  I will try to contact you through blogger :)

I now need to run and get stuck into those other jobs, this time the hunt clues for my super tricky EXTREME nappy icon hunt. Over the next month Karri Tree Lane is a sponsor of the Cloth Nappy Hunt, raising awareness of Work At Home Mum - or parent (WAHM)  run businesses through an online treasure hunt.  Almost 175 web businesses sponsor, donating prizes and hiding this little icon somewhere on our sites

If you scour the pages of Karri Tree Lane you will come across this icon somewhere, and clicking it will mark it off your hunt list and bump up your icon count.  There is more info available at the diaper decisions website, http://www.diaperdecisions.com/pages/greatnappyhunt.php

Best wishes and happy hunting!

Blog competition ends in 4 days! and cloth nappy hunt begins in 5 days

Remember to post your response to the 'shiny new things' post below to be in the running to win one of two limited edition wetbags from itti bitti and Green Kids

(if you really like another of our instock wetbags and ask politely I will probably let you change designs;) )

We are deep in prep mode for the beginning of the Cloth Nappy Hunt, which starts on March 1st.

This is the 3rd hunt that Karri Tree Lane has sponsored, and the first time that we've elected to be an EXTREME sponsor.  This means that out icon will be hidden in a more tricky spot, requiring a little more brain power to spot.  Our prize this year matches that extra effort from you, being a luxurious Sakura Bloom ring sling

Registrations for the Cloth Nappy Hunt are now open via the Diaper Decisions website, follow the link in the image here:

Building our Village

The KTL family is lucky enough to have a standing dinner date, every Thursday night, up the road with our dear friends.  I am really loving having community so close by, after years of feeling quite lonely and isolated despite living in the city.

Do you live somewhere with a nurturing Village of like-minded family and friends?

While personal circumstances vary and so many of us experience social isolation, I truly believe that every ounce of effort that we put into building our community is returned tenfold.

As we see with the awesome nation wide (world wide even!) response to disasters like the floods throughout the east of Australia, and support and love sent to those suffering through Cyclone Yasi in the north east of Queensland, physical proximity to our village is not the be all and end all. You will see I am creating links to my 'Virtual Village' on the right hand side of the blog, please feel free to comment on this post with suggestions for other blogs and websites to add (your own pages or those that you follow).

shiny new things

New limited edition itti bitti prints now available at Karri Tree Lane

I've always wanted a fully functioning blog for Karri Tree Lane, and finally, I have managed to set one up myself! Quite an achievement for the technologically challenged amongst us.

So, this will be where I link to cool website and blogs that I come across in my travels, update about new products, share a little more about the KTL family and run competitions away from the stringent rules imposed by Facebook ;)

The first competition I will be running is to win a limited edition wetbag.

There are 2 prizes, one being an itti bitti wetbag and the other a very limited run Green Kids Hungry Caterpillar wetbag.

Cute, huh?

This is a very simple competition to win, there are two ways to enter:

1.  comment on this blog post, and let me know the name of your favourite itti bitti colour/print or green kids style/colour of nappy

2.  purchase any nappy/ies from the Karri Tree Lane website and receive that number of entries (ie if you purchase one nappy you'll enter the draw once, if you purchase 12 nappies you'll enter the draw 12 times)

So, feel free to share our new blog around to your friends!

Terms and conditions:

The competition runs until 28th February 2011 and the winner will be announced here and contacted privately (if I have their email address!)
The competition is open only to Australian residents and the cost of prizes being posted (within Australia) will be covered by Karri Tree Lane
The winners will be chosen randomly using random.org and no discussions will be entered into
Winners have two weeks to contact Karri Tree Lane (sales @ karri tree lane.com without spaces) or the prize will be forfeited and redrawn
